I know that it can often be efficient to speak directly and honestly, but my communication style today should be more subjective and supportive as I attend an interview session meeting them.
Instead of responding immediately when someone says something that I might don't like, wait and listen to more of what they have to say.
Let them explain themselves completely before I go at them -- especially if this is a person who I'm just starting to get to know.
As I am a gentle person, bend over backwards to make them feel safe.
